“And Jesus said, "For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not, might see; and that they which see, might be made blind.” John 9:39
Avoid spiritual blindness. Embrace God’s goodness for your life.
By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down, yea, we wept, when we remembered Zion. We hanged our harps upon the willows in the midst thereof. For there they that carried us away captive required of us a song; and they that wasted us required of us mirth, saying, Sing us one of the songs of Zion. How shall we sing the Lord's song in a strange land?
-Psalm 137: 1-4 Trouble besets us all. No one is exempt. Yet, we that are in covenant with God, possess a remedy for tragedies. We can sing in a strange land
Knowing the truth, and applying the truth, makes you more than a conqueror. Change for better begins with the truth.
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. -1 John 4:18
Jesus came not to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.
1 Therefore if you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any common sharing in the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, 2 then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind. 3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, 4 not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others. – Philippians 2:1-4 (NIV).
Adversity is good.
Change for the better is birthed out of adversity. You will never know what you can do until you are forced to do what you thought you couldn't do. Resistance builds strength.
He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches. - Revelation 3:6
God is calling. Can you hear Him? He is speaking. Listen. His Word is your lifeline to a balanced life.
“…be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”
Romans 12:2 How the world sees us is not how God sees us. The world sees only our outer covering; God sees our hearts. It's not how we stand before people that matters, but how we bow before God that matters. The world in which we live is morally corrupt. It's gauge for measuring success is ineffective and without honest judgement. Dressing successfully begins with God.
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
