And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it. Jeremiah 18:4
If God is our Shepherd, then we should follow Him.
The good Shepherd makes His sheep to lie down in green pastures; which at times, appears to be anything but green. Our finite understanding and position in time and space, limits our ability to comprehend this mystery of God. Therefore, God calls us to rest where we are.
To us, it’s a broken home, but God says, trust Me. “I will restore unto you the years the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you. And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied…” -Joel 2:25-26 “For your shame ye shall have double; and for confusion they shall rejoice in their portion: therefore, in their land they shall possess the double: everlasting joy shall be unto them.” -Isaiah 61:7
Waiting on God positions us for the outpouring of His blessings. Weeping endures only for a short time. Morning is
coming, and with the morning comes joy.
To us, things will never get any better, but it is written, "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;
Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.
There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High.
God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early...Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.” -Psalm 46:1-5, 10
God will perfect that which concerns you. His thoughts toward you are good thoughts. His plans are plans to prosper
you and to do you good all the days of your life. No good thing will God withhold from you.
To us, all hope is gone, but God says, "Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? " -Matthew 6:25-26
Faith is knowing God can. God's Word is our shield against the attacks of the enemy. This battle is not yours, but the
LORD’s. Stand still and see the salvation of the LORD with you.
In what appears to be a barren and forsaken territory is actually a place overflowing with milk and honey. It’s a place of new birth and growth. It’s a place on the Potter’s wheel.
