God will not withhold anything that is good from you. If it is good for you, then God desires to give it to you. His thoughts towards you are good. His plans for you are to prosper you. God desires to do you good all the days of your life.
Nevertheless, God wants to prosper you even as your soul prospers. Are you prospering spiritually? Are you consuming a good diet on the Word of God? Is your life Christ lead?
God will not bless our mess. Jesus said in Luke 9:23, "If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and pick up his cross daily, and follow me."
We must abandon our will and submit to the will of God. We must endure "hard things" and difficult times as a good soldier of Christ Jesus. We must believe that our battle is God's opportunity for showing Himself strong; not just in our lives, but in the lives of those we're connected with.
The world is watching Christians. If the picture presented is one of an angry, out of control person; then why would someone want to be a Christian? However, if the picture presented displays peace in the midst of chaos; then that Christian is someone worth knowing.
Our life is the only Bible some people will ever read. What message does your "works" send to those around you? Jesus said, "Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shalt it be salted? it is thence forth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men." (Matthew 5:13)
How do you influence others for God? Are you that light which penetrates the darkness, or are you in the midst of darkness and no one sees your light?
"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify you Father which is in heaven."
Matthew 5:16
