Palm Sunday commemorates the entrance of Jesus into Jerusalem (Recorded in all four Gospels: Matthew 21:1-9, Mark 11:1-10, Luke 19: 28-39, and John 12: 12-18).
Palm branches were placed in His path before His arrest on Thursday and His crucifixion on Friday (Good Friday).
Jesus' entrance to Jerusalem is the fulfillment of the prophecy from Zechariah 9:9.
Palm Sunday pictures Jesus' entrance into our lives. He's meek and humble in spirit. He does not force His way. He stands at the door of our hearts and knocks. If you answers, He will come in and sup with you.
Jesus came that we might enjoy life abundantly. There is never a reason for anyone to live in a place of hopelessness. Your life as you knew it might be reeling in chaos. Sickness, financial problems, dissension in the home, or grief over the loss of a love one, can drain you of your resolve to hope any longer.
The Word of God to you today is, The Messiah Lives. He came over 2000 years ago in the form of man to set you free from the penalty of sin and the sting of death. He took upon Himself our sins that we may be freed.
Your struggle is over. There is no need to worry. The battle...has been won. There is victory...in Jesus. You can...make it. You can...live victorious.
If you had needed what you lost in order to survive, God would not have allowed it to be taken away from you. The fact that it is gone, is evidence that you don't need it. You might miss it. You might have loved it. But you don't need it. Jesus is all you need; and if you allow Him, He will fill that void in your life. If you allow Him. Then you will come to know that He really is all that you need.
Today, come out of hopelessness and embrace the promises and blessings that God has for you.
Rejoice!! Seek God's will for you life, and everything you feel is missing or is needed, will be taken care of. God will supply all of your needs according to His riches in glory through Christ Jesus.
Try God; He will do abundantly and exceedingly, above and beyond all, that you could ever ask or thing.
Trusting in your own ways can only bring devastation and destruction, but trust in Jesus will bring you peace.
Jesus came riding into Jerusalem to offer Himself as a sacrifice for us that we might live the good life He purposed for us in the beginning before sin entered in.
"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)
